T i n k e r

“Last forever!' Who hasn't prayed that prayer? You were lucky to get it in the first place. The present is a freely given canvas. That it is constantly being ripped apart and washed downstream goes without saying.”

I am always re-reading Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, I carry it around with me in my bag like a security blanket, a safe place to hide when presented with moments of waiting or anxiety.

I love this recent shoot with Gaya and Sarah Saunders ( Flowers)
I played around with some different film techniques and vintage cokin filters, it was such a lovely time and I'm super happy with the results!
I also tested a few different film stocks. I am constantly trying to find my favourite film to shoot with, and its necessary to test a few in the same lighting conditions. It's my eternal quest! Thinking of sharing the info once I have some conclusive results...

I have always though crystals were so beautiful. My mum has a crystal collection and I would love gazing at each precious piece as a child, drawn in by their strange qualities and otherworldliness. I am by no means a crystal expert and am not really sure what each type is known to be used for, but i am interested in learning more about their geological properties as well as their spiritual properties.

I have returned...

It's been so very long since my last post. I guess my main 'blog' is instagram nowadays. But it would be nice to return to the simplicity of the blog post. It feels like a diary, and I wish I had recorded more pages. Perhaps I'll begin again, or perhaps this attempt at rekindling the blogging romance will fizzle out again, who knows. Life comes and goes, in ebbs and flows. We shall see.

Here are some pictures from a lovely day a few months ago with my friend Kayla, a kindred picture taking spirit:
